Purpose, Glory and Hellfire

A Multirealm Epic of Glory — Hellfire-Forged in Infernal Purpose
by Monty Kubasek

Righteous demon matriarchy.

Holy warriors and celestial beings with a broken moral compass.

And too many Gods.

Do you seek glorious purpose or infernal purpose? When you cross the rubicon you realise it's all backwards.

Index, Appendix and Footnotes

Realms (not concrete):

1. Heaven Realm: The dimension of divine light and energy, home to the Celestial Hierarchy and run by the Prime Luminary, Na'amah.

2. Hell Realm: The dominion of demonkind, ruled by Lilith, and home to the Hellfire and other demonic families.

3. Earth Realm: The mortal plane, protected by Paladins and defended by the United Earth Forces.

4. Void Between Paths / Void Realm: A vast, uncharted reality of entropy and nothingness, where Eternia Urania and The Hollow are imprisoned.

5. Arch Realm: A realm created by the Arch Ethereal, closely connected to the Ethereal Plains.

6. Digi Realm / Demi Realm: A central plane of pure information and code, home to the Sentient Nexus Server, which is accessed by cyborg demi-gods acting as clients in other realms.

7. Mythological Realm: The ever-shifting domain of the Mythological Supreme, made of all stories, myths, and legends.

8. Ethereal Plains: A realm of unfiltered divine light and energy, home to the Celestial Radiants, and a source for Heaven's power. It is closely connected to the Arch and Digi Realms.

9. Flamebound Realm: A mysterious dimension of immense, plasma-like magic and energy, where reality breaks and controls paradoxes in a systematic way, different to the other "normal" realms. Only named Flamebound due to first explorers experience. It is the one realm that even the highest Gods have not yet attempted to mastered.

10. Icebound Realm: A sister realm to the chaotic Flamebound Realm only due to location, and named "ice" only for this reason. Has a unique role in the cosmic architecture as it teams with many different lifeforms. Has seen many conflicts between the Orks and Xova as Icebound would act as a bridge or a shared battleground.

The Armies of the Ancient War & The Echoes

During the War of the Sisters, Eternia commanded a diverse army of demons, Troll-type beings from Icerealm, a small number of Xovian Broots, Orks (still from Hell and not yet migrated to Earth realm) and other void-related beings she pulled from the Void.

To counter Eternia's forces, Victoria undertook a daring plan to use beings from outside her own realm. Against the wishes of the Celestials, she pulled over 10,000 Echoes from Heaven's realm. These Echoes were enchanted to give them complete forms, including magical wings and physical limbs. They were armed and used to successfully even the odds in the war. After the war, these Echoes were set free but were not allowed to return to Heaven, becoming dormant in the Void Between Paths.

Origin of Neo-Angels: Recently, these same dormant Echoes were retrieved. Their original magical enchants were replaced with cybernetic technology to create the Neo-Angels, Heaven's current police force. The Neo-Angel program was started by Metatrine about 1,000 years ago around the time she came into power, intended to fix a growing corruption in Heaven's ranks created by Na'amah.

The Fall of Na'amah & the Rise of Metatrine

The War on Hell & Void Reconciliation

The War on Hell is an event where "Heaven's dogs" (Neo-Angels) and "Earth's false knights" (Paladins) invade Hell. The conflict is defined by the chaos of the temporal incursion, with alternate selves from shattered worlds amplifying the scale of the war. It is a desperate struggle for the Hellfire family, with Burning leading the defensive charge and the Frost twins raiding celestial heights. Paladins train roughly 5 to 20 Crusaders each at a time, powerful apprentices. Crusaders all seek to become Paladins, under half make it that powerful. The Temporal Paladins bring about 10 Crusaders with htem each.

In a massive turning point, Victoria and Burning approach Eternia in the Void at the "Void Seal Threshold." Acknowledging they cannot win the war alone against the Paladins and Heaven's host, Victoria admits the ancient prophecy was a manipulation, and that they need Eternia's power to "turn the tide of war." Burning directly pleads with Eternia, referring to her as "Mother."

Eternia's exile in the Void was a period of silent, tormenting isolation where her rage festered, but confirming her deep-seated familial bond, she states, "She’s still my sister." Stirring from her prison, her fury is unleashed as she joins the fight. The reunification of the 2 most powerful demon sisters (Eternia and Victoria) and the 1st gen daughter (Burning) shifts Hell's forces from fighting just to survive, to total victory: their new goal is to "claim the realms" and "devour the stars."

The Anti-Star Formation

During the chaotic ending of the temporal incursion, Amber Hellfire tragically dies alongside a few others. This acts as the catalyst for a new rebellion. The fallen four—Tigerblood, Nightmarch, Thornlash, and Shadowbane—make a team with Glaive-14, who takes Shadowbane as a lover. Shadowbane is an Angel, not inherently special, but pushed from Heaven due to its internal corruption. Now wielding Hell-forged weaponry, she and the rest form a 5-point star of their own—mirroring a Neo-Angel star, but fiercely opposing them—and begin hunting the fake Lady Chronoscape.

The Penultimate Cosmic Schism

Following the deicide of Na'amah, the other Gods initially accepted the event, believing it was a matter for the Khatuns to address. However, after witnessing the Mecha Ethereal destroy a Neo-Angel unit, The Goddess's mindset shifts. Renaming herself The Anti-Goddess, she begins methodically eliminating members of The Sentient Nexus, drawing her into direct conflict with fundamental cosmic systems.

This threat forces the Khatuns to act, with Orange Khatun rallying her peers. The first to directly confront The Anti-Goddess is The Cosmic Butterfly (Butter), a multiversal singularity with no temporal variants. This sparks the "Penultimate Cosmic Schism."

After a massive debacle, The Anti-Goddess brings Butter and Mecha Ethereal under her mind control, becoming catastrophically powerful. To counter this, Arch Ethereal recruits Eternia Urania (now even more OP after the War on Hell) and the Gold Khatun. A cataclysmic 3v3 God battle ensues, heavily altering and creating new realms.

With the rest of the Khatuns defeated and disabled, Orange Khatun arrives with the God Buster as the last standing Khatun. Mecha Ethereal is freed from control, and Orange shoots Butter. This allows a joint strike to finally terminate The Anti-Goddess. Her death stops all recurring new Gods, but pushes a message out through the Multiverse, signaling many mortals to worship the idea of The Anti-Goddess. Temples are built everywhere, birthing the Anti-Templar movement.

Unbeknownst to the Gods, a new Cosmic Butterfly is born in the wake of the old one's death to take her trans-multiversal place. However, she is immediately captured by Anti-Templar Elites (warriors equal in power to Paladins) to be corrupted into something terrible. In the aftermath, a brand new character enters: a trans-multiversal tigermoth with origins beyond the multiverse, known as Poonie.
